We are seeking a person to join our team who can make a difference. You will have skills and experience that can improve and support communication, marketing, fundraising and project management across our charity. We need to make sure people hear about unpaid Carers and Young Carers and the work that we do to support them. We need someone with good communication skills who understands how to make the best of social media, someone who can make some fundraising initiatives happen and contribute to some projects to benefit vulnerable adults and children in Essex. The job role of Senior Management Assistant reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This is an exciting opportunity we want to develop a new brand within our charity which achieves a positive impact. Action for Family Carers has been providing support for Adult Carers and Young Carers for over 30 years – people with unpaid, caring responsibilities for others.  We are a Carers Trust Network Partner and hold Trusted Charity status.  We provide information, befriending, counselling, wellbeing activities, Young Carer Clubs, Activity Groups and Day Care across Essex, working within schools, with GP practices and in a variety of community settings.

Starting salary £22,725 pro rata

Part-time - 25 hours per week but can be more or less hours to suit both parties

Based in Maldon, Essex

Some working from home and flexible working available

-          To plan and deliver communication to promote the Charity’s work including newsletters, press releases, flyers / work with the local community /use of social media, website /preparing surveys and reporting on feedback and other communication work.

-          To support Projects with coordination and delivery/inputting data/monitoring actions/helping with recruitment and induction.

-          To work with the community, staff team, volunteers and supporters on fundraising initiatives/ provide fundraising communications/be the point of contact for internal and external fundraising.

 

You will be

·         A Strong Communicator with good written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of media tools such as social media and desktop applications.

·         You will be organised, self- motivated and proactive and be able to respond to the daily needs of the organization.
