Carers visit Stow Maries Aerodrome
On Friday a group of 14 Carers enjoyed a tour of the Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome.
On the tour with very knowledgeable guides we played on interactive exhibits, marvelled at late production and replica planes in their hangars and read plenty of Great War memorabilia.
Despite being a cold day everyone thoroughly enjoyed the atmospheric site and the evocative stories about past events and happenings told to us by the guides.
We warmed up in the Airmen’s Mess with hot drinks and a selection of cakes before visiting the well-stocked gift and book shops.
“A fantastic place to visit, the staff were so knowledgeable”
“Wonderful venue, amazing volunteer giving the talk, very atmospheric”
“A lovely morning, spending time with other Carers was a lovely feeling, it has recharged my batteries“
