Feeling Good Caring Well - a tranquil retreat
A beautiful garden on an 80 acre site overlooking the River Crouch was the setting for our latest provision of respite for Carers. The owner, Sue, gave the warmest welcome to our merry band who enjoyed the vista, the peace of this corner of Essex and afternoon tea on the raised patio.
The National Garden Scheme (NGS) allows us to discover these quiet, reflective places with Carers and we booked a private event to ensure it was a brief sanctuary; nature provided the backdrop and the sunshine … at last! Some Carers brought the person they care for, others brought a companion, all are welcome – whatever makes it the 'Time Out for You' that you need.
It was truly lovely to watch our Carers laughing and chatting and we hope that all agree with one Carer's comment “a lovely afternoon at Creeksea in Sue's beautiful garden. Very many thanks to Sue and all involved in organising the event.”
Our next outing is a visit and relaxation session in the ancient woods of Hockley, south Essex with our Wellbeing Expert, Liz. Join us on Tuesday 20th July at 1pm, with free refreshments afterwards at the historic Bull Inn.
