Step Out Walk to Moot Hall
Our Step Out group walked from Brickhouse Farm to the Moot Hall on Thursday 31 October.
It made for a fascinating and interesting day, with local history guides giving a wealth of information and a tour of Moot Hall. In the past, Moot Hall served as a local government building.
The eight walkers were all thrilled with the experience of visiting the old courthouse, the prison cell and exercise yard, reading the graffiti etched into the door and walls and enjoying the views from the bell tower looking out across the Blackwater and the surrounding areas which they had explored on previous walks. Everybody learnt some local history from the very knowledgeable guides.
They finished their experience with very welcome refreshments at the Continental Cafe.
