Day Care

We are pleased to announce that from 12th April, we are reopening the Brickhouse Farm, Maldon, Day Centre on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hours are 10am to 3pm and a two-course meal will be provided.
Please contact Michele for more information.

We provide day care for older people in Maldon and South Woodham Ferrers, which also provides a few hours break for family Carers.

We are still here for you and will be right through these challenging times. We will continue to support Day Centre users and their Carers remotely by telephone or online meetings and open Day Centres again as soon as it is safe to do so.

Call Lisa or Michele for information on all aspects of our Day Care provision.

respite.jpgWe will do all we can to ensure that the person you care for has an enjoyable and fulfilling day. Trained Care Assistants are available for a full programme of activities at the centres as well as the opportunity for days out on one of our organised outings. Sadly, days out are temporarily suspended until Covid restrictions are lifted.

The centres provide clients with an opportunity to meet and socialise with other people in a similar situation, reminisce about days gone by, or simply have a chat and a laugh. Rest assured we go above and beyond all government requirements regarding Covid restrictions, as our clients' wellbeing is paramount.

At the same time, their Carer will have an opportunity to have some precious time to call their own.

We are also pleased to announce our brand new Activity Groups in Witham are due to open early next year. Based on what Carers have told us is needed, this provision will be for people with mild to moderate dementia who can attend alone. Two groups will be held during the day - the morning will have a ‘Keeping Active’ Group session and the afternoon will have an ‘Active Minds’ Group session. Clients can choose to attend one or both groups. The focus of the Activity Groups will be based around physical activities and cognitive stimulation, both of which are proven to be beneficial for people with dementia and memory problems.

We welcome volunteers from the community to come and help with the Activity Groups.
