Georgia is passionate about mental health support, particularly for young people. As a Young Adult Carer, Georgia has previously benefitted from the services of Action for Family Carers through its Young Carer programme and is now eager to give back to the charity that supported her.
Starting as a volunteer at the Young Carer Club night she once attended, Georgia developed a growing interest in the wider work of the charity. Co-opted to the Board in October 2024, Georgia brings a valuable lived experience and a particular focus on Young Carers.
Georgia hopes to help develop dedicated services for Young Adult Carers and to continue advocating for the needs of young people. She is committed to maintaining high standards of service delivery while ensuring the voices of those who use the charity’s services remain at the heart of our work.
