We’re bidding for a cash boost from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme.
Stronger Starts provides grant awards of up to £1,500 to local community projects, with a particular focus on children and young people.
Three groups in every community have been shortlisted to receive grant awards and Tesco customers can vote for the group they think should take away the top award in their local Tesco store.
Action for Family Carers is one of the groups on the shortlist in Maldon at the following stores; Burnham On Crouch Express store, Danbury Express Store and the Maldon Extra Store.
The grant, if we win, will go to our Maldon Young Carers Club where we support Maldon young carers, allowing them to be children in a safe place and meet new friends who understand their responsibilities.
Our Clubs offer a safe space for fun activities, friendship, and support for Young Carers in Maldon. They get a break from caring, participate in games and crafts, and connect with others who understand their journey
Voting is open now until August. You can cast your vote using a blue token given to you at the check-out each time you shop.
