The government began a six-week call for evidence on the 7th July to gather views on: modernising the earnings limit to reduce the impact of the current cliff edge, improving predictability for carers with varying incomes, and better supporting those with work and caring responsibilities.
Unpaid carers and organisations that support them are being invited to share their views on how to improve Carer’s Allowance, as part of the first major review of the benefit since it was first introduced half a century ago.
We are encouraging all carers to add their voice to this important piece of work: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/views-sought-to-transform-benefit-paid-to-carers
