Take part in Carers UK State of Caring 2026 Survey to help show what life is really like for unpaid carers and strengthen the case for better support.
No caring experience is the same. Whether you live with the person you care for or care from a distance; whether you’re caring 24/7 or balancing caring with education, paid work or family responsibilities; whether you support a friend, family member, partner or neighbour; whether you’re new to caring, have been caring for many years or cared for someone in the past; and wherever you live in the UK, your views are needed.
Carers UK annual State of Caring survey is the most extensive survey into unpaid carers’ experiences in the UK. It is used as a vital source of evidence not only by Carers UK, but by many other organisations including ourselves, Government, local authorities, health and social care services, charities and carers groups.
Please share your experience today and help improve understanding of the realities of caring in the UK.
The survey takes around 30 minutes, but you can skip questions if you’re short on time. If you don’t finish, your responses will still be saved and shared. The survey closes on 9 August.
