Carer's Cards
A Carer’s Card helps identify you as an unpaid carer and may give you access to discounts, concessions and other benefits, depending on the scheme.
There isn’t a dedicated Essex Carer’s Card, but there are several national schemes available to unpaid carers across the UK.
Carers Card UK
Available to anyone providing unpaid care in the UK. The card includes photo ID, discounts at over 300 brands and free companion tickets at more than 500 UK attractions and venues.

National Carers Card
Another UK-wide identification card that helps you prove you are an unpaid carer. Cardholders can also access discounts and concessions at participating attractions, retailers and services.

Carers Card for Cinema - CEA Card
The CEA Card allows a carer to receive a complimentary cinema ticket when accompanying the person they care for. Eligibility criteria apply.

National Disability Card
Available to people across the UK who have a long-term physical or mental impairment that substantially affects their daily life. The card is recognised by hundreds of venues and retailers and provides access to discounts and exclusive offers.

CarerSmart
Run by Carers Trust, CarerSmart doesn’t provide an ID card but offers free access to hundreds of discounts, cashback offers and savings on shopping, travel, insurance and more.

Essex County Council's Emergency Carers Card
The Essex Emergency Carer’s Card is different from the cards above. It helps identify you as an unpaid carer in an emergency, so that emergency services, hospitals, schools or other professionals know that someone depends on your care if something happens to you.
