Tony Dixon joined Action for Family Carers in 2016 as Volunteer and became a Trustee in 2018. After studying Marketing at Huddersfield University, he spent 34 years with Ford Motor Company before retiring early to care for his terminally ill spouse. He worked in a wide variety of Marketing, Product Development and general business functions, often abroad and in cooperation with other motor manufacturers. He currently works part-time for BCA Logistics.
Tony is Chair, and is keen to ensure that both Carers and Funding Providers clearly understand what Action for Family Carers has to offer.
He has lived in various parts of Essex, from Fobbing in the south, to his present home in Weeley Heath, near Clacton, which he shares with his partner, two dogs and two cats. In his spare time, Tony is a keen cyclist and enjoys a spot of coastal sailing.
