Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing funding opportunities to support the growth and sustainability of Action for Family Carers. You will work closely with our Head of Business Development & Partnerships to implement our income generation strategy and grow new income streams including individual giving, legacies, corporates. This includes researching potential funders, preparing compelling grant proposals, managing funding applications, and maintaining relationships with donors and partners.
Additionally, you will leverage data to demonstrate our impact, secure funding, and support strategic decision-making.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Income generation
1. Work with the Head of Business Development & Partnerships to implement the Income Generation Strategy to diversify our funding.
2. Manage the pipeline of Trusts & Foundations, submitting applications and writing grant reports, ensuring all deadlines are met.
3. Write compelling grant applications including strong narrative and detailed financial budgets.
4. Actively seek out and pursue new forms of income generation including corporate funding, individual giving, legacies, partnerships, trading activities, sponsorship, contracts and community fundraising.
5. Implement a corporate fundraising strategy, building relationships with local businesses.
6. Provide ongoing donor relationship management, acknowledging contributions, providing updates on projects, and fostering long-term relationships to encourage repeat giving.
7. Manage and respond to supporter enquiries promptly, providing them with the best experience possible to maximise fundraising opportunities.
8. Maintain excellent records of all fundraising activities.
9. Maintain knowledge of fundraising policies, regulations, and procedures.
Data & Impact
10. Extract and interpret data from our CRM system and other sources to support funding applications and reports.
11. Analyse and present data findings to stakeholders through clear and compelling reports and presentations.
12. Ensure our CRM system and other data collection systems and processes collect the data required to meet funder requirements.

13. Provide assistance and support to the Head of Business Development & Partnerships.
14. Ensure full compliance with organisational Policies and Procedures including but not limited to, Financial Procedures, Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, Equal opportunities, Health & Safety and Data Protection.

The post holder should be able to demonstrate that they have skills and experience in the following areas:
Knowledge & Experience
– Proven experience in securing funding through grants, donations, and/or sponsorships.
– Strong understanding of the funding landscape and trends in the charity sector.
Experience in writing successful grant applications and funding proposals.
– Familiarity with data collection and analysis to support funding applications and reports.
– Good IT skills and experience using a range of applications, including MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint with demonstrable, advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.
Proficiency in using databases and CRM systems.
