We were pleased to hear the news that our former Young Carers Service Manager, Chris Vince, has been elected chair of the All Parliamentary Group for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers.
An APPG is an informal cross-party group that focuses on specific issues and form a coalition of support to help enact change regarding this issue.
Chris has always been an strong advocate for young carers and we can already see the impact he is having by the recent commitment from The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sports, Lisa Nandy, to ensure Young Carers’ voices are heard as they develop the youth strategy.
Chris has commented “I’ll take every opportunity to promote Young Carers and be an advocate for improving their lives”
