Action for Family Carers exists to promote the wellbeing of the whole community of carers and cared-for within Essex. Recognising their diverse backgrounds, circumstances and needs, our charity will strive to eliminate inequality, prejudice and discrimination and ensure equality of access to its services and support.
Action for Family Carers embraces diversity in all its aspects and aims to recruit and retain a workforce which reflects, at every level, the community which it serves.
Environmental Statement
Action for Family Carers believes that we have a responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate. We are fully committed to improving environmental performance across all of our business activities and will encourage our business partners and members of the wider community to join us in this effort.
As part of this commitment, we will continuously review the impact of our operations and activities to identify areas where we can minimise any adverse impact including through recycling, transport sharing and use of renewable resources.

The security and privacy of your personal information are very important to Action for Family Carers. We promise to respect any personal data you share with us and keep it safe. We aim to be clear when we collect your data and not do anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect. Complaints Procedure
Action for Family Carers aims to provide a high-quality service to Carers and those they care for. Our services include the provision of information and support to Carers who are looking after an ill or disabled person of any age and we try to provide a service that meets each individual’s need.
The office hours are 9.00 a.m. – 04.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Carers are welcome to phone or call in to find out what help is available, where to go and how to obtain it. A full description of our current services is also on our website.
