11 of our Young Carers got to take part in a residential trip for 4 nights to Maes y Lade Centre in Brecon this summer.
Our staff Laura and Kash attended with them and they had the opportunity to take part in some amazing activities in an incredible setting. We’re very proud of how brilliant they all were on this trip… lots of lovely memories and new friendships were made.
Many Young Carers don’t have the opportunity to go on holidays and most will not have taken part in this sort of adventurous trip so this is great for their personal development.

The trip was provided free of charge thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation and Essex Boys and Girls Clubs. We hope to have more of these trips for our brilliant Young Carers in the future.
