Safeguarding Policy Statement
Action for Family Carers aims to improve outcomes for vulnerable adults, children and young people through offering effective and efficient services to promote opportunity, prevent problems and act early when concerns arise.
We believe that it is always unacceptable for adults with care and support needs, children or young people to experience abuse of any kind and recognise our responsibility to safeguard their welfare by a commitment to practice which protects them, including by providing a clear framework for action when abuse is suspected.
Safeguarding Policies
Action for Family Carers has comprehensive policies and procedures in place for Safeguarding Adults and Children. Copies of these documents are available on request.
The Charity’s Board of Trustees regularly monitors and reviews its policies, procedures, training and practice to ensure compliance with relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance including the current Southend, Essex and Thurrock Safeguarding Guidelines for adults and the Southend, Essex and Thurrock Child Protection Procedures.
