Action for Family Carers is an Essex-based charity that has been making a positive difference to the lives of unpaid Carers including Young Carers for over 30 years.
We provide Adult Carer support, support for Young Carers, Young Carer Club Nights & Trips, Whole Family Support, Counselling, Day Care and Activity Groups. We also work with Employers, GPs and Schools to help them provide better support for Carers.
We are a Carers Trust Network Partner, Centre of Excellence and hold NCVO’s Trusted Charity Mark at Level 2, the highest level.

It is estimated there are over 124,000 unpaid Carers and 10,000 Young Carers in Essex that need our help and support. Some Carers are as young as 5 years old.
Our services are needed now more than ever.
